About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Staff Backend Java Developer with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building complex, scalable, and highly available systems that meet business requirements. You will possess a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to guide and mentor other developers on the team.

Our ideal candidate will have at least eight years of experience in Java Development, with hands-on experience in car rental or a similar industry. You will have a proven track record of designing and implementing RESTful APIs that adhere to industry best practices. You will possess a deep understanding of Microservices and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and have experience working in an AWS environment. You will also have experience in database design, with hands-on experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.

As a Senior Staff Backend Java Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business, data, and testing teams, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for mentoring and guiding other developers on the team, providing technical guidance and expertise, and ensuring the team adheres to industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Designing and building complex, scalable, highly available systems that meet business requirements.
Creating comprehensive design documents, performing robust coding, and conducting rigorous testing, leveraging Agile methodologies.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues through meticulous debugging, research, and investigation.
Mentoring and guiding other developers on the team, providing technical guidance and expertise, and ensuring the team adheres to industry best practices.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business, data, and testing teams, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Actively participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

About You:

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

At least eight years of professional experience in Java Development, ideally within the car rental or similar industry.
A deep understanding of Microservices and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
A track record in database design, with hands-on experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience developing web services using the Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
Hands-on experience working in an AWS environment.
A consistent drive for learning and growth, with a proven track record of continuous skill enhancement.
Practical experience with caching techniques and scaling strategies to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
